Day Sail

   For those with limited time or who are new to sailing, a day sail provides an easy and fun introduction to sailing in the Apostle Islands.  We will leave the dock at Pike’s Bay Marina at 10 AM and return around 5 PM.  An example route would be sail to Stockton Is. or around Madeline Is., briefly anchoring in a cove for lunch, then return.  Bring a lunch basket or a box lunch from a local restaurant.  For those so inclined, there will be opportunities to drive the boat and trim the sails.  See Gear

  Don’t forget to bring a camera.   The temperature on the water is always cooler than on land, so a warm jacket or sweatshirt would be appropriate, and please wear only non-marking shoes or sneakers. 

Cancellation due to inclement weather will be determined at the dock the morning of the sail. Inclement weather includes likely local thunder storms and/or high winds. 

Charter Rates:
The Day-Sail rate is $175 for 1 or 2 people, plus $75 per person for additional people up to a maximum of 6; lunch is not included.  (Wisconsin sales tax of 5.5% applies.)  Dates for Monday through Friday may be reserved in advance with a deposit of $100.   See the calendar  for open dates.  For Saturday or Sunday Day sails call ahead the preceding Wednesday Thursday or Friday (651-336-7357) for openings; no deposit is required.  In the event of cancellation due to bad weather, your deposit will be returned.

Due to safety concerns, children under the age of 12 are not allowed on Day sails.
